Fluoroscopic Injections in Midtown East NYC (Murray Hill): A fluoroscopic injection involves injecting medicine directly into the joint. It is primarily used for therapeutic reasons. At our pain clinic in Midtown East NY, these injections can help diagnose the source of pain, as well as alleviate the discomfort.
Fluoroscopic Injections at Grand Central Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Fluoroscopic injections are performed with the guidance of medical imaging technique with maximum accuracy. When a patient comes in to receive fluoroscopic injections, the area receiving the injections will be cleaned and well-prepped. Our doctors will then numb a small area of the skin. Once the area is numbed, a fluoroscope will be used to direct a very small needle into the joint. A fluoroscope is an x-ray machine that allows the doctor to see an x-ray image while performing the injection. Once the correct position for the injection is confirmed, the medical mixture will be injected and the needle will be removed.
