
Dr. William Gibbs, MD
William J. Gibbs, Jr., M.D., FAAPMR is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has been the Chief of Service of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, the Medical Director of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, served as Director of Rehabilitation Medicine for Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, NY, and the Medical Director for the Center for Rehabilitation in Flushing, New York.
Dr. Gibbs started out as a natural bodybuilder and personal trainer and continues to live a healthy lifestyle. He is a compassionate physician who uses his more than twenty years experience in nutrition, personal training, and medicine to guide them to their path to wellness. Using a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach, he is also able to use the most modern armamentaria available to resolve his patient’s dis-ease to get them to their desired state of being.
Dr. Gibbs has served on many medical missions in Haiti and the Philippines. He has hosted a medical TV show called “Good Medicine with Dr. Will Gibbs”. He serves on the board of The Center For Rapid Recovery whose goal is to improve access to culturally and linguistically competent care to populations whose worldview of illness and disease is framed within a cultural context. Dr. Gibbs was recently honored with the “Healthcare Leaders of the Year Award” in 2022.
